Noel Smith

Noel works with top-level professionals on and off Broadway. She coaches and prepares auditions, works on repertoire books, and helps professional singers maintain their vocally demanding schedules. Her students can be seen on shows like The Voice and America's Got Talent, as well as in numerous Broadway, off-Broadway, and regional productions.
Broadway Students:
Noel is a graduate of The Boston Conservatory at Berklee and a voting member of The Recording Academy, ASCAP, NATS (President Emeritus, Boston NATS), The Voice Foundation, and NYSTA (New York Singing Teachers Association). She is the New England Region Governor of NATS and NATS Commercial Music Coordinator. With more than 20 years of experience, Noel guides vocal technique through healthy musical theater and pop singing. As an international recording artist, she has sung in major Hollywood motion pictures for composers like Mark Isham, Brian Tyler, and Brian Transeau (BT), and in international video games for composers like Go Shina, Olivier Deriviere, Kareem Roustom, and Kiyoshi Yoshikawa. She also recorded for Amazon Prime's hit TV series Electric Dreams and for the international a cappella group Naturally 7 on several of their albums. Noel typically works on over 100 studio projects a year. |
Christine Dwyer

Christine is best known for touring the country and flying into Broadway as Elphaba in Wicked. She has donned the green as Elphaba over 1,000 times including the 2014 Tony Awards to celebrate the shows 10th year anniversary and for President Barack Obama and Chancellor Angela Merkel at the 2016 Hannover Messe in Hannover Germany representing the United States.
Christine was recently seen as Jenna in the National Tour of Waitress. She has played Sylvia Llewelyn Davies in the Finding Neverland, was in the NBC Live Jesus Christ Superstar concert, starring Sara Bareilles and John Legend and toured the US, Canada and Japan playing Maureen in RENT. Currently Christine is debuting a brand new musical "Maggie" at Goodspeed, where she is playing Maggie. Christine graduated with a BFA from The Hartt School. Christine coaches Acting the Song. |
Matt Deangelis
|
Matt is currently originating a role in Swept Away on Broadway, show opens Fall 2024!. He was on Broadway in Waitress, playing U/S Earl, U/S Dr. Palmedor, and ensemble. He can also be seen in the newly released Movie Musical Waitress. He is a veteran of over 800 performances of the hit musical Hair including Broadway, The West End, and National Tour playing the role of Woof. He launched the 1st National Tour of Green Day's American Idiot and was seen playing multiple instruments in the Tony Award Winning musical Once as Svec. Matt has appeared on many TV shows including Person of Interest, Madam Secretary, FBI, Daredevil, Evil, For Life and Chicago PD! Matt studied at Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

Stephanie James
|
Stephanie graduated summa cum laude from Berklee College of Music with a Professional Music Degree. At Berklee, she focused on vocal performance, songwriting, music business, and production. She is pop vocalist cross trained with a technical background in classical and musical theatre. Stephanie has studied with Noel for over 6 years and has further training from Kevin Wilson’s Musical Theater and Vocal Pedagogy Workshop at Boston Conservatory.
A songwriter and recording artist, Stephanie leads her own band, Stephanie James and has performed on stages from Boston to NYC, LA, and beyond including such notable venues as Boston Symphony Hall, Agganis Arena, Rockwood Music Hall, Hotel Cafe and City Winery. Stephanie also works as a lead vocalist for bands in the Boston area performing at weddings, corporate events, and private parties. Her 15 years performance experience and training stands as a strong foundation for singing in a range of genres, vocal endurance, and performance skills on stage and in the studio. Stephanie is very excited to be joining Noel's Voice Studio as a technical voice and performance teacher. Stephanie teaches voice for Musical theater and Pop singers. She teaches songwriting and improv as well. |
Isabel Molettieri

As a former student of Noel Smith Voice studio, to say Isabel is thrilled to be back would be an understatement!!
Isabel graduated from Muhlenberg College where she earned her degree in theatre and music with concentrations in acting and vocal performance. During her time at Muhlenberg, Isabel received additional training at Larry Singer Studios in New York City while simultaneously completing an internship with New York Vocal Coaching. An avid performer, her favorite recent credits include Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind with Los Angeles Theatre Initiative (which was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023!) and Cavalleria Rusticana I Pagliacci with Opera51. Isabel is also a teaching artist at Wheelock Family Theatre at Boston University and Venturing Studios where she teaches group musical theatre voice, audition prep, improv and acting classes. As a voice teacher, Isabel specializes in musical theatre, opera and pop singing. She aspires to provide all of her students with the tools to be the best musicians they can be! Kyla Moulton

Kyla Moulton discovered her love for theatre education while she was a student at Boston College. She has been teaching and directing for nearly 15 years. In 2019, she became the Director of Education at North Shore Music Theatre where she has had the pleasure of working with students from ages 8 through 80. Additionally, Kyla served as the theatre director at Danvers High School for 12 years. During her time at Danvers High, Kyla directed 35 productions including annual musicals and entries into the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild’s High School Drama Festival where her productions earned such accolades as a state winner, and multiple state finalist and semi-finalist titles. She loves coaching high school seniors on their monologues. Past students have been accepted into programs at The Boston Conservatory, Emerson,Ithaca College, NYU Tisch, Marymount Manhattan, Syracuse University, UCLA, and the Hartt School of Music. Kyla also spent 8 summers directing for the Tufts University Children’s Theatre. Kyla coaches monologues and acting. |
Brianna Fallon/ Refine Dance Studio

Briana attended the Ailey School at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in NYC at 16 for their summer intensive and later graduated cum laude with a BFA in Musical Theater from the Boston Conservatory. After college Briana moved to New York and performed and was the dance captain in the off broadway productions of Anything Goes and Funny Face. She also choreographed for the New York Theatre Bam's Choreography Lab and traveled to 20+ states as a dance competition judge. Briana has performed at top regional theatre across the country like North Shore Music Theatre, Theatre by the Sea, and Arts Center of Coastal Carolina to name a few.
She is a member of the Actor's Equity Association and Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. In 2019 Briana moved to her home state to work as a full-time performer, director, choreographer, and dance teacher. She has performed in numerous productions at North Shore Music Theatre, Mamma Mia! and Disney's Mary Poppins ranking s some of her favorites. In addition to performing at NSMT, Briana has worked as an assistant director/choreographer on several productions, most recently, A Christmas Carol. In the fall of 2019, she began teaching dance classes at NSMT and soon opened her dance studio Refine amidst the pandemic in September 2020. She is thrilled to join Noel's Voice Studio, and continue teaching her passion for dance to the next generation of dancers! Briana teaches dance and prepares and teaches dance prescreens. |
Bernie Baldassaro
|
Actor, Singer, Dancer, Choreographer Bernie Baldassaro shares his time between NYC and Boston. He holds a BFA in Musical Theater from Ithaca College. Currently he is touring the country in Book of Mormon, as a swing for the Elders. Bernie began performing professionally at the age of ten. Previously, he was on tour with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 2021/22, and has been seen in theaters across the country performing in the 2018 National Tour of Elf the Musical and the First National Tour of Baby Shark Live! Locally he has performed with The Huntington Theatre Company, North Shore Music Theatre, Reagle Music Theatre, Greater Boston Stage Co., and many others.
Bernie prepares choreographed dances for college auditions, and also offers a drop in class to work on skills and choreography. He is available privately for skill work. Bernie has worked with Noel's students to prepare them for their college auditions, along with offering mock dance auditions in the Summer Intensive Program. Bernie is excited to help our Aspiring Artists with Resume preparation and support! |
CJ DiOrio

CJ is an actor, singer, dancer and collaborator located in NY and Boston. He holds a BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. He has done numerous roles Off Broadway and Regionally, including Unmaking Toulouse-Lautrec, Aussie Song, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
CJ prepares Noel's students with Monologues for college auditions. He specializes in contemporary, classical and Shakespeare. His love of Shakespeare is infectious and he has rave reviews from our students. CJ works the Summer Intensive with Noel, teaching contemporary and Shakespeare. In his spare time, CJ enjoys cooking (large emphasis on desserts), working out, and exploring new places! Family and friends make up a vital aspect of his humanity and he often seeks out projects that involve community or generate positive social change. |
Mark Gagliardi

Mark Gagliardi (he/him/his) received his BFA in Musical Theater from The Hartt School at University of Hartford, and his MBA in Marketing and Analytics from Babson College. Early in his professional career he worked in General Management in NYC, assisting in opening over 20 Broadway shows within a 4 year span. Now in marketing analytics, he advertises for both small and large companies for social media and paid search marketing. With Noel's studio, he is responsible for bringing out the best and most marketable components in each student. Available for resume editing and interview practice, Mark can give you a brush up on your resume as you are looking to enter the College-level Performing Arts programs.
